Rolleston Station
Every morning I drive past the Rolleston Railway Station. Boarded up and painted a deep charcoal grey, it appears as a dark ominous shape marking the entrance to Rolleston township. I became curious as to what was hiding under those layers. My research revealed a piece of mid-century modern architecture. Functional and utilitarian? Absolutely. Yet the idea that it might be possible to find some beauty beneath the layers of paint and plywood intrigued me. This print is my way of sharing another view of Rolleston Station, a view that Rolleston commuters never get to see.
