FAQ

Shipping

Do you offer personal delivery in Canterbury?

Yes, If you live within Christchurch City and some townships in the Selwyn District I offer a personal delivery service for artworks. (The Selwyn area includes the townships of Lincoln, Prebbleton, Tai Tapu, Rolleston, West Melton, Kirwee and Darfield).

How do you package artworks for shipping? Will they be safe?

When I package artworks I try my very best to make them safe for the courier or postal service. This includes putting unframed prints in plastic sleeves to prevent water damage, rigid cardboard sheets to keep unframed prints flat, and layers of cardboard and packing around framed prints. My aim is to get artworks to you in the same condition that they left my studio. So far, whenever I have sent artworks every one has arrived safely.

What if my parcel is damaged?

If your parcel appears damaged in any way on arrival, do not sign for the parcel, and then open in the presence of the courier. Please notify me within 24 hours of receiving the parcel so that the problem can be resolved quickly. The original item may need to be returned so that a replacement or refund can be arranged.

When will I receive my order?

The time it takes for me to prepare your order will depend on the item. Some hand-printed shop items are made to order and so time needs to be allowed for the ink to cure. So the time until dispatch can vary from 1 to 10 working days. Please contact me if you have a short time frame and then I can give you a more accurate estimate based on your particular order requirements.

The following are delivery targets provided by NZ Post. Please use these times as estimates only:

International Tracked Signature RequiredAvailable on request for additional cost
International Untracked3 – 10 Working Days
New Zealand Tracked Mail3 – 5 Working Days

If you have any questions about the delivery of your order, please contact me.

Framing

What sort of glass do you use?

I use standard glass on all my frames. If you would like to upgrade to non-reflective glass, please contact me and I would be more than happy to give you a price for this. I do not stock non-reflective glass in my studio and so it would also need to be ordered in, which would add 7 – 10 working days to your order.

Commissions

Do you accept commission work?

Yes! I am very happy to work with you on a commissioned art piece or project. I have completed some very special commissions in the past as both gifts for others, and from customers commissioning a piece for themselves. Please see my Commissions page to read more about this process.

How much does it cost to commission a piece of original art?

There are a variety of size and price options to choose from when considering an original artwork, but prices are comparable to my artworks with very small edition sizes. I can also provide a variety of price options so that you can find something within your budget. If you are happy to proceed a 20% deposit will be required.
