The Light
Three days staying at the foot of the Cape Campbell lighthouse definitely opened my eyes to the realities of lighthouse life. Suffice to say there were no cobwebs on me or my sketchbook all weekend, and my sketches became loose and somewhat frenetic as my pen blew across the page. This scene captures a momentary lull in the wind at low tide. I like the way the rocks lead your eye across the platform of the rock pools to the light above.
