“Storm’s Brewing”
Over the Summer we explored around the coastline of the North Island of New Zealand. We traveled down gravel roads to the headlands of vast harbours, and found campsites behind tall sand dunes. It was an immersive way to witness the way the ocean shapes so much of our landscape and people’s way of life in some of these remote areas.
The ocean is also a metaphor for the rhythms of our lives. It fluctuates from wild to calm, and has elements of both the dangerous and beautiful. I feel this artwork is full of mystery and hidden stories – much like the ocean itself.
