In the 1950s and 1960s New Zealand began to establish Forest Parks as a way to balance the demands for timber production and other commercial interests with New Zealanders desire for recreation in some of our forested areas. While our National Parks have a high profile both here and overseas, our Forest Parks are their quieter cousins, yet they are no less enjoyed by those who explore them. This print is my small salute to our Forest Parks.
