Castle Hill

Castle Hill is a popular spot in Canterbury with locals and tourists alike. What I love about this location is the way you can wander among the rocks and find yourself in your own space with nothing but the landscape around you. On one particularly blustery day we headed up and up through the rock formations until we were on the very top of a ridge. The wind just about blew us off our feet but the outlook was spectacular. By sheltering to the side of a large boulder I was able to escape the worst of the gusts and so capture this view without my sketchbook completely blowing away.
