Making an Impression Exhibition- Te Huanui Gallery

I had been eagerly awaiting this exhibition all year, and with the complications that 2020 has brought, I did wonder whether it really would happen. However, all the stars happily realigned, and so on Friday 28th August 2020 the group printmaking exhibition Making an Impression opened at Te Huanui Gallery in Darfield.

I am thrilled by the happy way all the artworks in this exhibition complement each other. Despite there being no collaboration between the participating artists on theme or colourways, there are lots of subtle links between artworks. The exhibition organisers have also done a wonderful job of displaying the art so that these links can be discovered as you explore the space. It is really a delightful collection of prints by local artists and I feel so privileged to be a part of this great exhibition.

The Making an Impression exhibition runs until the 24th of September at Te Huanui Gallery in Darfield.
