“Flying Around?” is Selected for Juried Exhibition

Brick Mill Juried Exhibition

I’m excited to share that my tea bag artwork “Flying Around?” was accepted into the Arts Canterbury Juried Exhibition for 2020. The exhibition opened at The Mill Gallery in Waikuku on Friday 27th November 2020. This was the first time I had submitted an artwork into a jury selected exhibition such as this, so I was super chuffed that my little artwork made the cut.

29 artists from across the Canterbury region exhibited 45 artworks with a wide range of mediums and styles.

Detail from my “Flying Around?” artwork also featured on some of the promotion for this exhibition. This included an advertisement in Artbeat – Canterbury’s regional art magazine. It was a great experience for me as an emerging artist to have my art included in this event, and to have it hang alongside the work of more experienced artists. I am looking forward to submitting another entry into next year’s Juried Exhibition.
