An original artwork created especially for you makes a very special addition to your home or business or would make a unique gift. I am open to discussing art commissions with clients and accept a small number of commissions each year.
There are a variety of size and price options to choose from when considering an original artwork. To start with we’ll discuss what type of artwork you’d like, the subject matter you have in mind, the size you are thinking and style. After these initial discussions I will be able to give you a quote to consider. There is no obligation to proceed at this stage as I want you to be happy with what you have chosen. The turn around time varies according to the scale of the work, techniques used and drying times.
Work I have undertaken in the past includes:
- House Portraits
- Linocut prints based on family photos
- Teabag artworks with the client providing direction on theme
- Black and White landscapes of a place special to a client
Once you are happy to proceed a 20% deposit is required for artworks that are to be an exclusive edition. This is not required for artworks of larger edition sizes where the client has allowed later editions to be sold publicly (by agreement with both parties) . On completion of the artwork I welcome a visit to my studio to view your artwork. Alternatively a digital image can be emailed to you.
Obviously commissioning an artwork is a huge leap of faith so I will do my very best to ensure you have a piece of art that you absolutely love and that will bring a lot of joy for years to come.
